The KCSAP is a World Bank funded project being implemented in 24 Counties. The project development objective is “to increase agricultural productivity and build resilience to impacts of climate change risks in targeted smallholder farming and pastoral communities in Kenya.
The partnership between County Government of Busia and a number of universities and other research units has yielded fruits with over 150 farmers set to benefit from four value chains.
Busia County has introduced cage fish farming in Bunyala and Samia sub counties in Lake Victoria waters to increase fishery and so far over 100 cages in the lake Victoria waters of Busia county.
